Push Pause

(Life’s just like a video game…)

If only I could push pause to avoid my mistakes

If only life offered second takes

So many things I would change

So many events I would rearrange

But I’d keep some of the good lines

And maybe even some of the bad times

I’d never redo my first kiss at fourteen

Or my first love that at times broke me

I would smile more

And tell my depression it was a bore

Never worry about finding my soul mate

He was out there, I just had to wait

If only I could push pause on the time flying by

If only life let me see all my loved ones that have died

So many things I still want to see

So many people I still want to be
