Writing this letter

To give to my boss

Words coming so quickly

Several get lost

Took this day

Much too long

So many tedious hours

And all the times I was wronged

It is a happy day

Though you may not be aware

Because I’m furious

At their audacity to dare:

To dare treat me so poorly

To dare talk down to me

To dare make me come in early

To dare make me feel guilty

Signing my name

And printing the page

Walking to my boss’ office

Smiling through my rage

I’m done with this place

I deserve better

Please, sir, do accept
