It was hardest for me

Why don’t you see?

I wanted to die

That’s not even a lie

You’re being ridiculous

Don’t you know it?

It was harder for me to get by

You shouldn’t have to ask why

But I was the one who felt the sadness

My emotions never got a rest

It was worse for me by far

Just getting out of bed was so hard

Ok I know all of this, I was there

But you were just sad, not ever scared

You can’t compare our plights

At least you haven’t slowly lost your sight
